The following, is a summary in English of two technical reports signed by Agronomy Engineer Ruben Izurraga Barja, Supervisor of the Homa Project, Department of the Presidency, National Development Institute, Special Project Pichis Palcazu, (PEPP), Agreement Contradrogas-PEPP, to the Engineer Anibal Baltazar Ruiz, Agriculture Supervisor of the same entity.

Subject: Diagnosis of the cocoa area in Paratuchiali and Report of advances with HOMA THERAPY.
Date: Satipo, November 5th, 1999
Name of the project: Eradication of plagues, sicknesses and production of cocoa applying HOMA THERAPY in the Satipo area.
Location: Junin Department, Satipo Province, Satipo District, Paratuchiali sector.

The place was chosen by the National Service of Agrarian Health (SENASA) of the Peruvian Department of Agriculture. There are two resonance points of about 40 hectares each.
Initial situation concerning the health of plants:
· 10 to 25 years old cocoa plants. Some were 5 years old, variety CCN-51.
· Cocoa plantation was abandoned. Peasants were only doing recollection agriculture.
· Trees were pruned without any technical criteria.
· The open wounds in the trunks of the trees, were suitable cradles for ant hives. The ants constantly ate the leaves of the trees. The enormous quantities of ants in the soil, made it unsuitable for planting any thing
· The cocoa plants were totally covered by moss and other parasite plants.
· Weeds were prevalent in the whole area.
· The agricultural area was in a state of low productivity. Last campaign, the production was 35 to 80 Kgs. per Hectare and the tendency was to diminish.

Diseases:

Moniliasis "Monifiopthora roreri" 87.5% of incidence
Witch's broom "Crinipellis perniciosa" 33.3% of incidence
Phytopthora sp 66.6% of incidence
Antracnosis colletotrichum sp 98% of incidence
Machete's Evil, "ceratosytis fimbryata" 60% of incidence
Black Putrefaction "botriodiplodis theobroMae" 55% of incidence

Plagues:

Ants (Air area) 90% of incidence
Bugs which destroy fruits 25% of incidence

EPIDEMIOLOGICAL BEHAVIOUR:
A technique of ecological and organic agriculture called "HOMA THERAPY" is being applied in the Paratuchiali area since 25th October 1999. In this cocoa area, the following behavior was observed until today, November 5th, 1999:
1. Accelerated development of new, healthy leaves The old leaves, sick with antracnosis and ceratosythis, began to become loose and fall down leaving space for renewed leaves of deeper green, with greater shine and bigger size.
2. Blooming began, specially on those plants to which Agnihotra ash solution was applied. All the flower cushions began to activate themselves. One could observe that they were all very healthy and well formed.
3. The fruits which were already formed became very healthy and began to have a very intense shine, something unusual.
4. This behaviour occurred in new and old cocoa plants only within the HOMA THERAPY atmosphere. It even happened among the cocoa plants which had not been pruned nor cleaned from weeds.
5. A decrease in the presence of ants occurred in the plants and in the agricultural area.

CONCLUSION:
1. The cocoa plantations began to manifest symptoms of rejuvenation only because of the effect of HOMA THERAPY
2. In cocoa plant were the Agnihotra ash was applied greater development of the leaves was observed and the process of blooming was accelerated only ten days after applying HOMA THERAPY.
3. Also, a rapid recuperation was observed among citrus, plantains and bananas due to the effect of the HOMA atmosphere.

RECOMMENDATIONS

1. It is necessary to apply Agnihotra ash solution to all the cocoa plantation
2. In order to obtain greater quantity of Agnihotra ash, we need sufficient quantity of cow dung cakes.
